Is Hitch Adapter 80303 Designed For Towing

Question:
I do not understand what this means, It cannot be used to connect from tow hitch to trailer???? This adapter allows you to use your current hitch accessories in either a 2inch or an 1-1/4inch receiver hitch. Note: This adapter is not to be used for towing. The Hitch Adapter part # 80303 that you referenced is an adapter designed for hitch accessories like bike racks that happen to have 2 inch shanks but it is not to be used for towing. It really wouldn't be needed for towing either as all you would need is the right size ball mount. People generally don't try to convert hitch sizes for their favorite ball mount like they do bike racks.
