Installation of the Ranch Hitch Universal 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter # AM3100 can be simplified by using the Slide Hammer # AM3103. Although not required for installation, the slide hammer makes the process quicker and easier because it reduces physical exertion and helps to seat the collar properly. The slide hammer is used to pull the threaded collar over the split collar halves that surround the king pin on the trailer.
