Can Other Brand Tow Bars be Used with a Roadmaster Classic Base Plate Kit

I have a 2001 Jeep TJ Sport, U channel bumper. Would like to buy this base plate, 1417-1, but wanted to know if it would be compatible with other tow bars ? Thanks!

Expert Reply:
You can use the Roadmaster Classic Base Plate Kit, # 1417-1, with a Blue Ox tow bar, but you will need to use the Roadmaster Tow Bar Adapter, # RM-032.
This adapter also works with the Demco Aluminator, Excalibur, and Kwik-Tow tow bars.
