We do have a hitch fit for your 2010 Prius, but the Draw-Tite # 24808 that you purchased for your 2004 Prius fits 2004-2009 Toyota Prius models, but unfortunately not the 2010 model.
For your 2010, I'd recommend the Draw-Tite # 24847. The hitch attachment points on the 2010 model are different than those of the 2004, so there's no safe way to modify your old hitch so it'll work. Attempting to modify the hitch can affect the strength of the steel that the hitch is constructed of, which can cause it to fail.
If you click the provided link, you can see an install video showing the # 24847 being installed on a 2010 Prius.
