Is 10 Amp Fuse Included with Curt Trailer Wiring for a 2008 Toyota Highlander Enough
Published 07/08/2016 >
Question:
A 10 amp comes with the C56217 to go under the hood in the vehicle fuse panel BUT the car owners manual and the info on the fuse panel called for a 30 amp fuse for towing. Is the 10amp fuse sufficient?

Expert Reply:
Yes, the 10 amp fuse that comes with the part # C56217 is adequate with the Curt harness part # C56217 that you mentioned. I actually just recently talked to Curt about this very same question and the difference is that the 10 amp fuse is what the Curt harness requires but if you were to use the Toyota trailer wiring harness you would need to use a 30 amp fuse.
