Question:
My Ranger has power door locks, but not a remote-key fob. Can I still operate this power lock without a remote?

Expert Reply:
For your 2005 Ford Ranger that has power door locks you would actually want the Pop and Lock Tailgate Lock part # PAL8200 and not the PAL5500 that you mentioned as it is for Toyota Trucks.
The # PAL8200 will wire into you truck's power lock circuits which will allow it to unlock and lock with the power door locks. You would not need to have a remote key FOB for this.
