Question:

The Dexter has a four bolt mounting system to the axle, the after market brake assembly has a seven bolt mounting system to the axle can the after market assembly 7 bolt be used to replace a Dexter assembly attached to a four bolt axle on my fifth wheel trailer?

For a 12-1/4 inch by 3-3/8 inch brake assembly that uses a 4 bolt mounting pattern we have the part # AKEBRK-8L. This would be what would work for you. There would be no way to attach a 7-bolt assembly to a mounting flange designed for a 4-bolt.

This assembly has an 8k capacity which you would need to make sure your trailer has the same.
