Can the Thule Pulse Large Cargo Box fit on Toyota 4 Runner Factory Crossbars

Good morning Does the Thule # TH615 cargo box fit the standard factory fitted Toyota 4 runner crossbars? thanks

I spoke with my tech representative at Thule and they told me that the Thule Pulse Large Rooftop Cargo Box, part # TH615, should work well for your 2012 Toyota 4 Runner. I asked if there were any problems with the box fitting the factory crossbars, and they told me that the feet should pose no problem when installing the box on the factory crossbars.

I recommend to check and see if your vehicle's crossbars fit within the 3-5/16" width 1-1/2" depth maximum requirement that the Pulse fits around.

They did tell me that the biggest concern is the front clearance. If you measure from the center of the front crossbar rearward to the point where the roof meets the rear tailgate, that gives you the front clearance. I attached a drawing that shows the Thule Roof Boxes and the dimensions they need which you may find helpful.

Anytime you place cargo on the roof of your vehicle you want to check the owner's manual or with your dealership to make sure you do not exceed the roof weight capacity of your 4 Runner.
