Troubleshooting Fifth Wheel Landing Gear that Stops Working When Load Is Removed

Question:
I have a 33foot 2007 keystone cougar 5th wheel the landing gear works fine extending but when retracting once the weight is off you have to hold up pressure on the follow side the lead side seams to come up slow and some times needs help also. the system is a venture.

That sounds like a gear problem. Sounds like the pressure on the bottom of the leg when it is on the ground is keeping the gears lined up properly but once you remove that pressure the gears come apart too far and the jack stops working.
Since you have a Venture that would mean that you would need the part # LG-146060 that you referenced.
