Hello, neighbors. I'm Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at this Jack Repair Kit for your Stromberg Carlson Landing Gear. Now, folks, this will include the gears and pins required to repair your follow jack on your landing gear. Now if you're not sure which one's the follow jack, the follow jack is the one that does not have a crank or motor. So think of it as it is following the one that's pulling it, so it's following the motor side.
Now this is specifically designed for use with your Stromberg Carlson LG-1s or the LG-183708 landing gear. And looking at some dimensions on these, so we'll start with the pin here, on the shaft, whatever you wanna call it. That's a four-inch long shaft by 1/2 inch thick. And on the gears, the smaller one here, you can see the two different sizes. That's what the back looks like.
That's where that pin's gonna go through and line up through the shaft, and the side and the top. So I'm getting 1 1/2 inches wide with 12 teeth around it. And on the larger gear you got 16 teeth, and it's 1 3/4 inches wide. So again, this is just gonna be a basic jack kit to repair your landing gear in the follow jack. So this is how these gears sit inside of there and spin on each other to raise and lower that landing gear.

Awesome! Worked perfectly. Used on venture jacks on my 2005 raptor toy hauler (fifth wheel) landing and lead legs. Fit perfectly. I highly recommend etrailer. I will be using them more. New jacks would of cost me at least ten times more!
We have been traveling in a fifth wheel rv for 3 months. Have needed etrailer's help with two different problems are very easy to talk to for information and parts. Were very prompt on getting parts to us in two different states. Were the right parts the first time around they really know the rv problems. The parts were quality grade and fit perfectly. Have not installed these parts yet. I bought them as spare parts.Same with the gear box for the landing gear. Could be a real problem if it breaks while traveling. etrailer is great to order thru.
Shipping was prompt but when I was ready to install the parts, I opened the package and the two gears were exactly the same. They did their part but whoever packaged the repair kit screwed up big time.
Arrived quickly, well packed and complete.
Haven't installed it yet but should be an hours worth of work this weekend. Look forward to having functioning landing gear again.
Everything worked perfect except the bushings outer diameter (too large) . I reused the old bushings and it works as good as new. Thank you. Much cheap than replacing the jack.
Both repair kits were simple to install, however they were the last resort as I was unable to find replacement jacks that would fit in my 2006 Terry Quantum AX6. I would like to thank the outstanding support I received from everyone at e-trailer .com. It is a pleasure doing business with such a professional group.
