Ratchet Strap Recommendation for Securing 4500 lb Tractor
Updated 06/21/2016 | Published 06/20/2016 >
Question:
Would 4 of these straps hold a tractor that would weight in around 4500 lbs or should I go with a heavier strap
asked by: John H
Helpful Expert Reply:
Each of the Erickson # EM34423 Retractable Ratchet Straps has a 1333 lb safe working load limit, so 4 straps would have a total capacity of 5,332 lbs, which would work just fine for a 4500 lb tractor. As long as the combined safe working load limit of the straps to be used is greater than the weight of the piece of equipment you're tying down, you'll be just fine.
