The Kat's Heaters Thermal Battery Wrap # KH22100 is intended for cold-weather use when outside temperatures drop below freezing. In such an environment the heater will keep the battery case temperature high enough to reduce loss of cranking power. A battery can lose as much as 35-percent of its capacity when its core temperature drops to 32-degrees.
When the outside temperature drops below freezing the Kat's heater will make for easier engine starts and it can be easily removed for storage in the summer months.
