Question:

A few questions about hitch covers: Our Class 1, 1.25 inch Curt hitch on our 2012 Toyota Prius has a rounded rim on the hitch business end see attached picture - or part #C11276 - making it a little bigger than most hitches to put a cover over. Will either #PC002238 or #PC002216 Harley Davidson hitch covers fit it properly? Has anyone there tried it? I really want to get it for my husband for Fathers Day, and I dont want the disappointment of him loving it - then having to return it because it doesnt fit! Do I have to buy pins to attach it to the hitch - and if so - how many do I need? Also - is there a lock I can purchase on your website to keep the cover on - in case we encounter some sticky fingers??? Finally - do I still need to purchase a plug for the hitch hole or will the cover keep out water/dirt/etc? Thanks!

The Harley Davidson Hitch Covers part # PC002238 and # PC002216 will fit your husband's Curt hitch part # C11276 just fine.

To lock the cover to the hitch all you would need is part # 1480DAT. For a non-locking hitch pin you would want the part # PC2.

There would be no need for a plug behind the cover either.
