Saris does have some trunk mount bike racks that will fit your 2008 Ford Mustang GT convertible but # SA102 is not one of the models listed as a fit. I recommend the Bones, # SA805BL, which will also allow you to carry the bike(s) more level compared to the Solo which does not have independently adjustable arms.
For something that will fit and that is closer in price to the Solo I recommend the Guardian # SAR93FR. I have linked videos on both of these bike racks for you.
