Question:
Im not crazy about the spring loaded clamps near the tailgate. Will the front clamps fit as a replacement for the spring loaded clamps? It looks like they are both the same shape. Thinking about ditching the springs if the fronts work as a replacement. I just bought a Solid Fold 2.0 for my Ram 1500.

I spoke with my Extang representative, who tells me that is would be perfectly acceptable to use replacement cab clamp assemblies in place of the tail clamp assembly. The clamps are sold individually as part # EX42FJ.
