Does 12 Volt Wire on Trailer Side 7-Way have to Be Connected if Trailer Does Not Need 12 Volt Power

Question:
On the#h20046 7 blade trailer connector where does the black twelve volt lead go to on the boat trailer side?where does it connect and do you haft to use it? I am hooking up back up lights on my boat trailer I understand about where all the other wires go since your first reply back to me just dont know what to do now with the black wire when I replace the 5pole with the 7 blade #H20046

On a 7-Way trailer connector such as # H20046 the 12 volt wire would connect to any accessory that would need 12 volt power such as a trailer mounted battery or a jack in some cases. You usually do not see them on boat trailers. If you don't have anything on the trailer that needs 12 volt power you can just cap off that wire and stow it out of the way.
