Question:

I have a road master stow master 5000 currently used to tow a Jeep wrangler and would like to know if it can be adapted to work with base plate and kit to tow 2012 Cadillac SRX... Can you tell me if I can use this and what parts I will need to make this work ? Thanks

Yes, your Roadmaster StowMaster # RM-501 can be used on a Roadmaster base plate to tow your 2012 Cadillac SRX as long as you do not have a Turbo model.

If your SRX is not the turbo model then you will want Roadmaster EZ-4 # RM-523162-4. The EZ4 will have a spring loaded locking system. The locks 'click' as each of the front arms are rotated into position; pull a ring and twist the front arms 90 degrees to remove them.

To use the Roadmaster StowMaster with the EZ4 you will not need an adapter. Currently there is no adapter available between the StowMaster and the Blue Ox base plates. I have linked our page that shows the adapters you will need between brands for your convenience.

It is always a good idea to check with your owner's manual to ensure your vehicle is recommended to be flat towed.
