Question:

Good Morning, I have a 2008 Extreme Boat Trailer for my 2008 Malibu VTX boat. The Trailer Came with a Dutton-Lainson Model DL1402A winch that has failed. I would like to upgrade to a better quality winch but I dont want to re-drill holes in my trailer. Can you offer an upgraded winch that will use the factory bolt holes? Thanks so much for your help!

The closest I can come to the same mounting holes you have for your DL1402A winch is part # DL14527.

This is a 1,600-lb pulling winch and it has very similar mounting hole locations. I have attached dimensional drawings for the DL1402A and the # DL14527 winch you can check out. The mounting holes are nearly identical and I am sure the # DL14527 will work great for you. This winch does not come with the cable.

For a cable I recommend part # DL24104. If you prefer a strap for the winch I recommend part # DL24249.
