Question:
Do you know of an aluminum tray-style cargo carrier with the angled shaft? Or a lighter weight steel with angled shaft? 48-60inch wide, 500lb capacity for 2inch receiver. Thanks!

I have a couple of great hitch mount cargo carrier options for you, but we do not offer an aluminum carrier with a shank that has a rise. All of our aluminum carriers have a straight shank.
One of our lighter weight options for a steel carrier with a 500 pound weight capacity is the Pro Series Cargo Carrier for 2 Inch Hitches # 6502. The weight of this carrier alone is 48 pounds. This carrier's shank does not have a rise, but the carrier does sit up higher than the shank due to the way the carrier is desinged to fold. The measurements of this carrier also fall in your desired range, coming in at 48 inches x 20 inches.
Another option is the 24x60 Pro Series Cargo Carrier for 2 Inch Hitches # 63153. This carrier weighs approximatley 58 pounds, but offers a larger cargo area. The shank rise of this carrier is 2-1/2 inches. Unlike the # 6502 carrier, the # 63153 is a fixed carrier and is not able to be folded up toward the vehicle.
I have attached review videos of both of these cargo carriers for you.
