For trailer wiring that would allow you to install a 7-way in the bed of your 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 you would want the part # C56071 that has been confirmed as a fit. This will plug in-line with the 7-way you have at the rear of your truck and then will provide you with a 7-way to install in the wheel well.
