The Thule Water Slide loading mat, part # TH854, is connected to the vehicle by wrapping and securing the non-scratching hooks and loop straps around the roof rack cross bars that run from side to side.
I measured the straps, and they are 14-1/4 inches long by 1 inch wide. The mat itself measures 3 feet long by 2 feet wide.
