What Circuits Should a Prodigy Brake Controller Run to

Question:

i bought a 2004 dodge ram 3500 with a prodigy brake controller model # 90185. the gentleman i purchased it from said it worked great when pulling his fifth wheel trailer and the dodge dealership where he purchased the truck from had installed it. when i got home i hooked up to one of my trailers only to find out the trailer brakes did not work. so i hooked up to 2 of my other trailers and the brakes did not work on either of them. after looking at the wiring, it showed totally different connections than the instructions showed. the black wire coming out of the controller was hooked to ground. the red wire with black tracer was hooked 12v batt. The white wire with red tracer was hooked to brake pedal switch and the the blue went to trailer plug at rear of vehicle. how is it possible that it worked on his fifth wheel trailer and did not work on all three of mine? your help on this matter would greatly be appreciated. thank you very much in advance.

If I had to guess the guy installed the brake controller wrong and never tested it with a trailer.

You need to move the wiring of the controller around so that all of the circuits are run to the correct wire.

The blue wire is right, the white is for ground, the red for stoplight switch, and black for 12 volt power. Just like in the chart I attached.
