The trailer hitch on your 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 Long Bed truck will not fit on your 2006 Dodge Ram 1500.
For your 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 I have a wide selection of trailer hitches available. I have Class III, Class IV and Class V hitches with towing weight capacities of 6,000 to 18,000 lbs.
If you want to give me what type of hitch you are looking for, or what you are going to use it for, I can give you some recommendations.
I am sending a couple of links on information about trailer hitches.
