Question:
A few of the reviews mentioned that this hitch didnt clear the spare tire on their 06 Highlander. Is the tire still fully accessible without removing the hitch?

Expert Reply:
The spare tire of your 2006 Toyota Highlander will still be accessible with the Curt hitch part # 13530 installed. The cross tube does slightly cover one corner of the spare so you may have to angle the spare back as you raise or lower it, but it will still be easily accessed.
I attached a picture that shows how much of the spare will be blocked and how it compares to the install of the Draw Tite # 75153.
