Curt TriFlex Brake Controller Display Shows Only L.

Question:

I have my curt brake controller mounted on a 99 f450. It has work great for a couple of years. But now I have no trailer brakes and get a display of L. , I dont find this option anywhere. Also, I pull two different trailers depending on the need at the time. Have same issue with either trailer.

The L. display should show up on the Curt TriFlex brake controller # C24VV, when it is plugged in. When you are installing the controller, the trailer should not be connected.

The lever or button on the left side of the controller is the sensitivity adjustment. The L. should change when that lever is moved. You can also try resetting the controller by unplugging it for a few minutes and then plugging it back in (without the trailer connected). If these things do not fix the issue then there is likely a problem inside the controller and it will need to be replaced.
