Roof Mounted Cargo Box Recommendation for 2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude

Question:
2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude w/factory rails. Watched video and seems easy to install. My question is after the initial install of the crossbars, then after installing a roof cargo box, can the crossbars then stay attached to the cargo box for future removal and installation as one whole unit? Also, What Size would be best in an aerodynamic roof carrier that would not extend over past the windshield? Thanks

According to Inno, if you wish, you could leave the cargo box affixed to the crossbars and remove the whole thing as one unit if you wish. However, you'd probably need a few extra helpers to remove the whole unit from the roof as it would be pretty awkward for one person to complete without scratching the vehicle.
The Thule Force XT, part # TH6358B with its 18 square foot capacity would be a good choice. Since the Inno roof rack system can be slid fore or aft, and the clamps that attach the rack to the crossbars can be slid back and forth, you'll have no problem situating the cargo box so it doesn't extend over the windshield. According to Thule, the box will allow your rear hatch to open fully.
