Question:
Does the CIPA Universal Fit Towing Mirror CM11980 work on a Toyota 2007 FJ Cruiser?
asked by: M. B
Expert Reply:
Universal-fit towing mirrors like the CIPA # CM11980 are designed to fit as many different vehicle mirrors as possible. It will fit the OEM mirrors on your 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser as long as there is a gap between the mirror and mirror housing. The mirror's clamping mechanism fits into that small gap.
If you click on the linked installation video you'll be able to see the nature of this mounting method and compare to your mirrors to ensure a good fit.
If you find that you prefer a different type of universal towing mirror, such as a door-mount like # 11650, you can see these on the linked page.
