The LT245/75R-17 tires on your 2005 Ford F-250 are one of the four stock sizes offered by Ford. On this tire size the Thule Self-Tensioning XG12 Pro Snow Tire Chains # TH01594267 are a confirmed fit. These chains include important safety and convenience features such as automatic tensioning and alignment, scratch protection for your rims, a quick-release feature and quality manganese/nickel alloy steel construction.
You made a good choice. These Thule chains will be much easier to use than some budget chains that lack these features. Tire chains that are tough to use tend to sit in the tool box where they do you no good at all; these Thules will make using chains a lot less of a pain and that means they'll actually help you in really bad conditions.
I checked with Ford about using chains on your truck and you can use low-profile S-Class chains like the Thule XG12s on all tires unless you have the Harley-Davidson Edition, in which case you can use chains only on the rear tires.
Always drive at reduced speed when using chains, 30 to 35-mph at most, and be sure to remove them before you reach bare pavement. The two linked articles may be of interest to you as well.
