Help Determining If Brake Drum Assemblies are Free-Backing Assemblies
Updated 01/13/2016 | Published 01/12/2016 >
Question:
I recently purchased a 16 foot car hauler trailer. The trailer has a titan Series Model 20 surge brake actuator for the drum brakes. Im trying to determine if the brakes are free backing? The actuator does not have a solenoid connected to the master cylinder. I would like to avoid installing a solenoid if at all possible!

Thanks for sending in a picture of your brake assembly. I can tell by the picture they are not free backing though.
You will need to measure the dimensions of them and then check out the link I attached to see all of the free backing brake assemblies we offer. You can select your size from the filters on the page.
