Question:

We bought the trailer used and the previous owner could not locate the key to the tack/dressing room. I see you guys sell replacement keys. Are they pretty universal. Its a typical flush mount with a single lock cylinder and the interior release knob. I did not measure the opening so I do not know if its the regular or junior size. By the way, your bulldog latch repair kit works perfectly. Thanks

The # CHK510 key you mentioned is common to all # L1980, # L1930, # L1883, # L1833, and # L4080 latches. In order to get you the correct key, look on the face of the lock and see if there's a reference number engraved or stamped next to the key slot. That number might help me find you a replacement key, if you can reply and let me know what the number is.

Otherwise, if you can provide the dimensions of the rough opening the latches sit in, I can recommend replacement locks for you. Replacement lock cylinders could possibly be available if you can find any manufacturer name on the lock.

If you can reply with a photo of the latch, any manufacturer information you can find and the lock number, I'll try to locate replacement keys or locks.
