Question:

I purchased 98164-7 4 to 7 wire straight kit and a bulb and socket kit part 155. Im assuming I cut the 4 wire plug off the end of the bulb and socket kit on the front of the towed vehicle and wire directly to the 4 wire plug included in 98164-7? Thanks

To use the part # RM-98164-7 as an umbilical with the part # RM-155 you would need to cut the 4-way off the jumper wire of the # RM-155 and then wire it to the 4-way round female socket that comes with the part # RM-98164-7 that you referenced just like you said.

You may not have to use the jumper cable of the # RM-155 either if the main harness can reach the front of the vehicle after the bulbs are installed.
