Question:

I have a 2009 Ford Flex with the vista roof I think thats what its called. Its the one with the big glass panel that covers about half the roof. I am intrested in getting a roof top carrier for it. I have no roof rack. Can I attach a roof top carrier with out a roof rack? If not can I put an aftermarket roof rack on my car? I am looking for a large cargo carrier. Please make a sugestion.

You will need a roof rack on your 2009 Ford Flex to be able to use a roof mounted cargo box.

For a Yakima roof rack you will need: Yakima TimberLine Towers, # Y33TR, RoundBar SL Adapter # Y03536, crossbars # Y00409, and 2 sets of Landing Pad 11, # Y00233.

For a roof rack you could then use the Yakima SkyBox NX 16 Rooftop Cargo Box # Y95AV which has 16 cubic feet of storage space or for a larger one the Yakima SkyBox 21 Rooftop Cargo Box # Y07337.
