Question:

I have a small Cargo King Cobra enclosed trailer that I want to pull off road. I want to put 35 inch tires on it. Which kit should I use to move the spring to over the axle instead of under the axle? I think this should give me enough clearance with the fenders to mount the 35 inch tires.

Expert Reply:

The choice of over-under kit for your cargo trailer depends on it's axle size. If you have a 2-3/8-inch diameter axle use kit # K71-384-00; if you have a 3-inch axle use kit # K71-385-00. Both kits include spring seats, nuts, steel spacer nuts, u-bolts and tie plates and are suitable for use on double-eye spring only. You'll need to have the new spring seats tack welded into place on the other side of the axle.
