My 2013 Honda Pilot does not have any trailer wiring. Could you please tell me what product I need to wire a trailer with round connector. Its a 2 axle dump trailer. Could you recommend a brake controller too? You need a 7-way and a brake controller for your 2013 Honda Pilot. The part # 118265 would be the correct 7-way to use so you are on the right track.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes.
To install this brake controller all you would need is the part # 3070-P. This adapter plugs into the 4-pin connector on your vehicle's built-in brake control wiring harness. The harness is located underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal.
Be sure not to exceed the towing capacities listed for you vehicle in the owners manual.
