The Hopkins Windshield Cover part # HM17529 that you referenced is made of a heavy duty nylon material with sewn edges.

It installs by hooking over the rearview mirrors of the vehicle and then adjusted with the straps that run down the middle. If you check out the install video I attached you will see exactly how this is done.
