Question:
I want to replace my Float-on 8 lug, 6.5inch center boat trailer hubs. You Trailer Hub Assembly - 5,200-lb to 7,000-lb Axles - 8 on 6-1/2 - E-Z Lube and Dexter Trailer Hub Assembly - 5,200-lb, 6,000-lb and 7,000-lb Axles - 8 on 6-1/2. What is the difference? Thanks,

Expert Reply:
The difference between the two trailer hubs you referenced part # 8-231-9UC1-EZ and # 42865-KIT is that the # 42865-KIT comes with two different grease cap styles and the # 8-231-9UC1-EZ only comes with one, the EZ lube style that has a rubber plug that can be removed for easy access to the zerk fitting of the spindle for greasing.
The # 42865-KIT comes with a EZ style cap as well as a standard grease cap. I attached review videos for both hubs for you to check out as well.
