Question:
My 2009 Suburban Z71 is still sagging pretty good with my Fleetwood Scorpion trailer attached. Although the trailer weight is under 6,000lbs, the tongue weight alone is 1,000lbs by design. Im using an EZ-Lift weight distribution hitch which does help some, but the back of the Suburban is still squatting a bit lower than the front. What are the most cost effective options to level the back out?

Helpful Expert Reply:
A properly rated weight distribution that is set up correctly should eliminate the sag you are experiencing on your 2009 Chevy Suburban. It is possible that the spring bars on your EAZ Lift system are rated too low and thus cannot eliminate the sag.
If the trailer tongue weight is 1,000 pounds then the spring bars need to be rated higher than that. A system that is rated for 700 to 1,400 pounds tongue weight, such as # RP66561 would be a great option.
You could also add rear helper springs such as # TGMRYS4 for a 4x4 1500 or # TGMRSB4S for a 4x4 2500 Suburban. I have included some helpful links on weight distribution and Timbren help springs for you.
