Question:

I am about to purchase a ford expedition with 22 inch wheels. do you have a chain to fit and can chains be used on this vehicle? It has tires size 275/55-20. I made the mistake of purchasing a 2014 Explorer Sport 4x4 and the booklet states that is you install chains the warranty is void, I learned this after the purchase!

Based on the information I found in the owner's manual for the 2015 Ford Expedition, Ford only recommends using cables on the vehicle. For your size 275/55-20 tires, the cables I recommend are the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains # PW3029C. These cables are Class S compatible and are intended for on road use only. I have attached a review video of the # PW3029C for you.

It is recommended to use rubber adjusters with these cables, such as the Glacier Rubber Adjusters for 19-1/2 inch to 24-1/2 inch Rims # PW97.

The owner's manual for the 2015 Expedition outlines guidelines that should be followed when using snow tires and chains. Some guidelines include only installing chains on the rear wheels, using only Class S compatible chains, and not exceeding 30 mph while using snow chains. I recommend consulting these guidelines before using snow chains on your Expedition.
