Question:

Hello I have a 2001 Mercury cougar I got as a gift and it had a deka battery in it and I replaced it today with a duralast gold battery. They tray I didnt replace so its the same tray that held the deka battery . But this one that I just installed is a little wiggly the battery I have is 9in in height and 10 3/4 in in length and the width is 6 13/16 I was wondering if these hold downs will fit or if u can help me find one that will thank you

The Deka Battery Hold-Down Kit with Bolts, Washers, and Nuts # DW00678 will be just barely wide enough and the j-bolts just barely long enough for a secure and snug fit on your battery based on the dimensions you have provided.

However, since you will change batteries more than once for most applications I recommend going with something a little more universal just in case. You could use the universal crossbar, # DW00246, with longer j-bolts, # DW00244. This will ensure that it fits the battery you have now and will fit larger (or smaller) batteries in the future.
