Question:
They want 500 dollars to hook up a brake control in my 2008 Equinox, my question to you is it that hard to do, that is for equipment and labor375 dollars. Do you have to wire the whole car they say it takes three hours.

If you are mechanically inclined at all and would rather save yourself some money you could easily install a brake controller in your 2008 Chevy Equinox.
You will need to start with a 4-way (if you do not have one). For that you would want the # C56012. I attached an install video for this harness for you to check out that will walk you through the process.
From there you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
From start to finish for everything it would probably take a few hours, but it's pretty basic stuff. Nothing too complex.
