How Do You Replace The Cable On Gorilla-Lift Utility Trailer Tailgate Lift Assist

Question:
All I have is new cables I dont have the new springs . Can you list in order how to replace the cable to the existing Springs for the assist tailgate.

There is a bolt and nut at the end of part # GL1 that holds the spring in place.
When there is no tension on the system you will need to remove the bolt and nut so that you can get the old spring out. You will also need to remove the rollers at the other end of the unit so that you can pull the spring and cable all the way out.
After assembling the cable and spring you would reverse the steps you took to remove them from the GL1.
