Question:

Will a Falcon All Terrain tow bar base plate for a 2001 Honda CRV fit a 2005 Honda CRV? Thanks.

The base plates that are designed for a 2001 CR-V will not work with a 2005 CR-V.

We do offer base plates that will work with the Falcon tow bar for the 2005. The base plates we offer depend on whether you have the trim package on the front bumper of your CR-V.

If you have the trim package the base plate I recommend is part # 1555-5. This base plate kit features removable drawbars that make it almost invisible when removed and not being towed. This system will not work with a CR-V that has brush guards installed.

These base plates will work with either of the Falcon tow bars, part # RM-520 or # RM-522.

If you are not familiar with flat-towing a vehicle, there are five things needed. You need base plates, a tow bar, safety cables, lighting for the towed vehicle and most states now require supplemental brake systems. If you do not have these items just let me know and I can make some recommendations that will work for you. I have attached some helpful articles about flat-towing you can check out.
