Question:

I want to make sure that I am ordering the correct lock for my 2006 Ridgeline. PAL6100?. My truck is a blue/grey so I assume this is the best choice for color? Also, since it appears that you do not have a video for this would the 2011 video be close enough? Does this also keep someone from opening the tailgate from the bottom right when it swings out like a door? THANKS!!

Pop & Lock tailgate lock # PAL6100 does indeed fit your 2006 Honda Ridgeline. It will fit models with or without the factory backup camera.

I would say that either black, # PAL6100, or silver, # PAL6102, would look the best on your blue and gray Ridgeline. I have linked a couple of videos on these tailgate locks for you. The video I have linked would be pretty much identical to your 2006.

The lock prevents the handle from opening up far enough to release the latches holding the tailgate closed. Provided the swinging part is operated by the same handle it would also prevent it from swinging open.
