How Tall is the MaxxAir FanMate Rain Cover

Question:
My Maxxair fan opens 12 inches high - will this cover accomodate that high of a vent cover?

MaxxAir FanMate Rain Cover # MA00-955001 is only 9 inches high itself so a cover that opens 12 inches high would not fit. If you can control how far the lid opens manually then you could just crank it open until the lid hits the inside of the FanMate. Over-cranking once it has reached that point could damage the vent or the FanMate.
