Will Using 2 Sets of Rack'em Ladder Racks Have a Capacity of 800 Pounds
Published 09/30/2015 >
Question:
I have a 7foot x 14foot trailer. I have a construction business and carry ladders, pump jacks and scaffolding planks. Was thinking of ordering two sets which is four racks correct? Also, is the capacity of those two sets 800lbs then?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Technically, if the weight was perfectly and evenly distributed across the 2 sets of Rack'em ladder rack # RA-28, then the capacity would be 800 pounds or 400 pounds per set. However, you are limited to the capacity of the trailer roof where the ladder racks are installed which is likely much less than 800 pounds. You would need to contact the trailer manufacturer to determine the weight capacity.
