Can Thule Xsporter Pro 500XT Bars Be Moved Closer Together
Published 09/02/2015 >
Question:
I have a 2015 Toyota Tundra and the Thule Xsporter Pro 500XT. I would like to mount one of my ski boxes so it sits BELOW the cab in the bed of the truck. The Thule manual says to mount the Xsporter as close to the cab and as close to the tailgate as possible. Can you mount it with the bars closer together?

I spoke with my contact at Thule about bringing your Xporter Pro # TH500XT bars closer together. He said there should be no problem bringing the bars closer together to accommodate your ski box sitting lower, but recommended keeping the bars as far apart as possible.
