Does the DeeZee Tailgate Assist Make it Easier to Lower and Raise Tailgate on 2014 Ram Truck

Question:
I have a 2014 Dodge Ram and read the reviews on the deezee ez tailgate assist system and they all have great things to say, my question is does this product also reduce the weight of the tailgate closing it too.. If not what do suggest I order to reduce the weight both ways?

The DeeZee tailgate assist # DZ43301 for your 2014 Ram only reduces the weight when lowering the tailgate. There isn't a model available that will also help reduce the weight when lifting the tailgate. I have included a link to a video showing how the DeeZee tailgate assist installs.
