For your 2014 Chevrolet Sonic, I recommend going with the Roadmaster EZ4 Base Plate Kit, # 523173-4. These base plates offer simple installation with no welding required and best of all, we have an installation video that will walk you right through the process.

Now for the tow bar, take a look at the RoadMaster Falcon All Terrain, # RM-522. The telescoping arms on this tow bar hook up with ease and automatically center and lock as you drive ahead to prevent sway and make hooking up quick and easy. We have a video of this tow bar being installed on the base plates for a 2012 Sonic and set-up would be the same for your 2014.
