Question:

I am looking at buying either the Curt dual 2 inch receiver tube adapter 8inch extension OR the MaxxTow dual hitch extender for 2inch trailer hitches - 12inch long. My question is I want to tow my boat and my bicycle rack too. How much tongue weight will either of these extensions handle ?? My boat tongue weight is around #175 - #200 lbs.

The Curt Dual 2" Receiver Tube Adapter # D-192 has a tongue weight capacity of 350 lbs for both hitch openings and the MaxxTow MT70070 has a max tongue weight of 400 lbs.

You should note that the when you use a hitch extender/adapter like this you end up cutting the capacity of the hitch in half.

Your best option would be the part # D210 as it does not reduce the capacity of the hitch it is installed in. It has a 7,500 lb total trailer capacity with a 750 lb tongue weight capacity.
