Updated 08/17/2015 | Published 08/15/2015 >
Question:
when connecting to add on harness with installed bulb and socket kit. do I cut the green and yellow and attach to diode or cut and attach brown brake wire and connect to diode.

Helpful Expert Reply:
You will want to cut the yellow and green wires and connect the ends with a yellow butt connector. Then attach a small length of wire to both butt connectors and attach the wires to the input of the diode with spade connectors and then attach the bare end of brake signal wire to the output of the diode with a spade connector. Then route the green brake signal wire through the firewall.
I have included a diagram of this installation for you to check out.
